Dr. Katie Given MD, PhD, MBA, FAAD provides Mohs surgery treatments at Union Square Dermatology. She is board certified in Dermatology and Mohs skin cancer surgery. She has a clinical appointment at UCSF and teaches the UCSF residents and fellows procedural dermatology and Mohs surgery at the San Francisco VA.
Her training includes Internal Medicine internship at the University of Chicago Hospitals, Dermatology residency at Yale-New Haven Hospitals, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year, and ACGME-accredited Fellowship in Mohs Surgery, reconstructive surgery, and cosmetics at UCSF.
Dr. Given enjoys spending time with her family, often exploring the outdoor beauty the Bay Area has to offer. An FAA-licensed pilot, with commercial, multi engine and instrument ratings, an expert skier, avid golfer, and ballroom dancer, Dr. Given enjoys life in the fast lane.
